Smartphone-based operating system Windows Phone 8.1 reportedly just lost the ability to use Twitter mobile applications.
This is not too surprising, given that Twitter has said it will withdraw support for the platform in June 2018.
Twitter has also attracted support for Windows 10 Mobile for Fall Creators Update. The Twitter website in Internet Explorer mobile also has a bug showing connection errors after the user sends a new tweet or reply to a tweet.
If you are a Windows Phone 8.1 smartphone user, to work around this you can use a third-party Twitter app.
There are several third-party Twitter apps available on the Microsoft Store, including Peregrine, weeTweet, Tweets and Tweets are offered for free. There is also a Tweetium that costs US $2.99. So the choice is yours!
