Technology existing in Light L16 camera that has 16 lenses reportedly being developed in a smartphone product that will be launched later this year.
Thanks to Foxconn’s huge investment in Light, the same technology will be used on smartphones with nine cameras.
Light has a prototype smartphone with between five to nine lenses that work together to deliver DSLR-like performance in low light conditions and capture 64MP quality images.
In addition, Light promises sophisticated depth effects and unrivalled zoom capabilities in the smartphone market.
However, just as Light L16 camera is priced at US $1,950 (about N700,000 Naira), the smartphone with multi-lens will not be offered at a low price.
To make all the sensors work simultaneously, the technology requires enormous processing power, which will ultimately be very expensive.
Naijaknowhow readers, will you buy a phone with these plenty number of cameras for that sum?
