For a long time, Instagram has been testing a feature that allows users to hide the number of likes on posts for several countries. Now, this feature is officially available and can be activated optionally.
Initially, Instagram conducted this trial with the aim that users, especially creators, did not experience social pressure when they saw that other users had a high number of likes on their posts.
But still, it turns out that many users refuse the presence of this feature and ask Instagram to keep showing the number of likes or at least provide options to users.
Well, today this feature has been launched where users can choose to still be able to see the number of likes or not.
“Starting today, we give you the option to hide the number of likes on posts on your feed timeline,” said Head of Public Policy of Instagram Asia Pacific, Philip Chua.
How to Hide the Number of Likes and Views on Instagram Posts
To find this feature, users only need to go to the Settings > Privacy > Post > menu and activate the feature that says ‘Hide Like and View Counts‘.
