After many rumours circulating on the internet, now Qualcomm has finally officially announced the presence of its newest flagship chipset, Snapdragon 888 Plus through the 2021 Mobile World Congress (MWC) event.
Referred to as the most powerful chipset today, Snapdragon 888 Plus comes as an upgraded version of Snapdragon 888 which was launched about 7 months ago.
Qualcomm also said that its 5nm flagship chipset provides improvements in terms of processing and AI performance compared to its predecessor chipset.

In terms of specifications, this chipset is equipped with the Kryo 680 CPU which can now reach speeds of 3GHz, then there is also the Hexagon 780 AI Engine which gets a 20% increase in performance.
As a result, the Snapdragon 888 Plus chipset can now produce performance up to 32TOPS which is greater than its predecessor, which is around 26 TOPS.

The plan is that the new Snapdragon 888 Plus will be present on Android smartphones in the second half of 2021. It has been confirmed that a number of brands will use this chipset, such as ASUS, ROG, Honor, Motorola, Vivo, to Xiaomi.
