Honor is gearing up for its launch event on July 12, where it plans to introduce the Honor Magic V3 series, namely Magic V3 and Magic Vs3. These new foldable phones are expected to come with significant improvements over previous models.
Details about the Magic V3 and Magic Vs3 suggest that they will feature various upgrades, enhancing their performance and user experience. As Honor prepares to reveal these innovations, excitement is building around what the new foldables will offer in terms of design, functionality, and technology advancements.

1. Slimmer and lighter body with premium design
Honor boasts that the Magic V3 features an ultra-thin and highly adaptable folding design. The Magic V2 set new standards with its thin design, but Honor is pushing the standard further with the Magic V3, which is claimed to be even thinner and lighter, as revealed by leaked images.
Although the exact dimensions of the Magic V3 haven’t been disclosed, some undisclosed sources support Honor’s claims about its design. Both the Magic V3 and Magic Vs3 will have a similar book-style folding screen, continuing the design trend from their predecessors.
Teasers have also confirmed the available colour options for the Magic V3, which include Tundra Green, Qilian Snow, and Velvet Black. In addition to these colours, there is a brown variant of the Magic V3 that stands out with its faux leather back panel. This particular variant also features a golden metallic border around the rear camera module, adding a touch of elegance to its design.
2. Flagship chip
The company continues to uphold the flagship status of the Magic V series by equipping it with top-tier hardware. For instance, the Magic V2 debuted with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Now, its successor, the Magic V3, is set to feature the more advanced Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. This upgrade ensures that the phone isn’t just about design but also about delivering high-end performance.
And about the Magic Vs3, the previous model, the Magic Vs2, came with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. This made it a more budget-friendly option compared to the Magic V2. Honor is likely to continue this approach with the current year’s foldable series, offering a balance between cost and performance.
Details about the Magic Vs3 remain sparse, but it might be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. This chipset is often found in flagship killer or budget flagship phones, providing excellent performance while being a step below the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
