For more than 10 generations, Google has always used desserts to name different versions of its Android operating system. But since the Android 10 operating system was released, Google decided to use number-based naming.
However, this does not mean that the dessert name has been abandoned, Google is still using the name dessert in its newest Android device and is used internally.
Talking about naming Android, recently XDA-Developers has found the dessert name for Android 12 which Google is now preparing. It is known that the real name of Android 12 is Android Snow Cone.
It is known that the name was obtained through the Android 12 source code, where there is a code name SC which refers to the abbreviation Snow Cone or better known as shaved ice.
Even though it sounds unique, Google is unlikely to announce Android 12 under the name Snow Cone. But maybe there will be a Snow Cone themed mini-game presented by Google on Android 12.
For your information, the Android 11 version itself also has a dessert name, namely RVC (Red Velvet Cake), but when it was announced, Google continued to use Android 11 and did not mention the name Red Velvet Cake at all.
