It’s hard to talk about top budget smartphones in Nigeria without mentioning an Infinix Hot phone. To continue that trend, the brand has announced Infinix Hot 7 as the latest in its Hot series — The Infinix Hot 7 (X624) and Hot 7 (X624B).
As the latest piece in the lineup, it officially becomes the successor to the likes of Infinix Hot 6, Hot 6 Pro and Hot 6x (the notched smartphone). And it is more like the 6x design-wise than any other Hot smartphone.

Infinix Hot 7 Quick Review
A large notch, colossal screen, substantial screen-to-body ratio & aspect ratio are the high-flying features of the phone’s design. The notch serves as a refuge to the front-facing camera, flash and some nifty sensors. You’re greeted with a chin below, but it doesn’t affect the 83% STB.
Display-wise, a 6.2-inch IPS screen governs the relay of multimedia content. It is backed by 720 x 1500 pixels resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. That’s not all, multi-touch input and 16 million display colours are in the equation.
Solving power issues, the OEM integrated a 4,000mAh battery on the smartphone. Comparing the battery capacity to standard battery capacities, the phone is way above average. Even on heavy duty, it can last for over 24 hours.
The heart of the smartphone is the MediaTek MT6580 with Quad-core CPU clocked at 1.3GHz. Graphics actions get disseminated by Mali-400 GPU. There are 1GB (Hot 7 X624) and 2GB (Hot 7 X624B) RAM variants of the device. Either way, both come with 16GB and 32GB internal memory that’s expandable to 128GB. Then, there’s no availability of 4G LTE connectivity on either device.
You’ll get wowed by the 13MP dual rear camera. Its f/1.8 aperture allows it to capture sleek images whether in low light or bright light. To spice it up, a LED flash is assigned to amplify brightness. You can enjoy beautiful selfie pictures thanks to the 8MP front camera.
