Microsoft is now ready to launch the latest version of Microsoft Office. It is stated that Office 2021 will be available to consumers commercially on October 5th.
In addition, Microsoft Office Long Term Servicing Channel (LTSC) has also been launched today for Mac and Windows users. This LTSC version features a version of Office that does not require a subscription.
But specifically for Office LTSC, Microsoft says that this version will not come with a number of AI and cloud-powered features as commonly found in Microsoft 365 services.
Here are some of the new features that will be present in Microsoft Office 2021 as quoted from TheVerge:
- Line Focus – Similar to Reading Mode to reduce distraction when viewing a document
- XLOOKUP Function – Help lookup data in a table or row when opening an Excel worksheet
- Dynamic Array Support – New feature in Excel that allows the use of dynamic arrays
- Dark Mode – Now all Office applications support dark mode or dark mode
Unfortunately, Microsoft still hasn’t revealed the price of Office 2021. Let’s wait for further information regarding its presence on October 5, which coincides with the release date of the latest Windows 11 OS.
It is very easy to snap Windows left-and-right, but you need to be familiar with the keyboard shortcuts (Windows Key + Arrows). This is made easier by Windows 11, especially for those who only do it once in a while.
