Xiaomi has launched its Redmi Pad Pro 5G in Europe and the UK after initially releasing it in India. The tablet, which is available in two colors—Quick Silver and Graphite Grey—brings 5G connectivity as its main new feature compared to the Wi-Fi-only Redmi Pad Pro.

The price for the tablet is €379.90 in all European markets, while it costs £279 in UK currency, as reported by Gizmochina. The tablet comes in different configurations depending on the region, offering up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Customers who pre-order the device can get a free cover, and additional accessories, such as the Redmi Buds 5 or the Redmi Smart Pen stylus.

Redmi Pad Pro 5G specifications

The Redmi Pad Pro 5G has a 12.1-inch LCD screen with a 2.5K resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels. The display is capable of a 120 Hz refresh rate, which ensures smooth scrolling and animation, and a 180Hz touch sampling rate for quick responsiveness.

The screen can reach up to 600 nits of brightness, making it easy to see in various lighting conditions. Additionally, it supports Dolby Vision for enhanced video quality and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, which adds durability.

The tablet is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor, which can reach speeds of up to 2.4 GHz. This processor is paired with an Adreno 710 GPU, which handles graphics and makes the device suitable for gaming and other intensive tasks.

The operating system on the tablet is based on Android 14 and comes with Xiaomi’s HyperOS. Users can choose between two RAM options: 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X, and storage options include 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. If more storage is needed, the tablet supports microSD cards with a capacity of up to 1.5TB.

The camera setup includes an 8MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera, suitable for taking photos and making video calls. The tablet also features an in-display fingerprint sensor for security, an infrared sensor for controlling other devices, and quad speakers that support Dolby Atmos for a better audio experience. Dual microphones help in capturing clear sound during calls or recordings.

In terms of size, the tablet measures 280 × 181.85 × 7.52 mm and weighs 571 grams, making it fairly portable. For connectivity, it offers 5G, Wi-Fi 6 on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, Bluetooth 5.2, and a USB Type-C 2.0 port. The battery is a large 10,000mAh unit, which supports 33W fast charging, ensuring that the tablet can be quickly charged when needed.

Overall, the Redmi Pad Pro 5G is a feature-packed tablet that offers strong performance, modern connectivity options, and a solid display, making it a good choice for those looking for a versatile device in the mid-range category.
