The data-driven company Sensor Tower recently released data stating that currently TikTok has been successfully downloaded 3 billion times on Android and iOS devices.
This makes TikTok the first non-Facebook application to get 3 billion downloads. This is also a big achievement for TikTok and ByteDance.
Sensor Tower also released more detailed data regarding the growth in the number of downloads from TikTok, where until now the highest number of downloads from TikTok was achieved in Q1 2020, which was 318 million times.
In Q2 2021, TikTok has been downloaded by more than 205 million times which is an increase compared to Q3 2020.
In addition, it also shows data regarding consumer spending obtained by TikTok, which has now reached US $535 million in the second quarter of 2021, a rapid increase from Q1 2021 which only reached US $385 million.
For your information, currently, applications other than Google’s which have been downloaded more than 3 billion times are WhatsApp, Messenger, Facebook, and Instagram, all of which are applications owned by Facebook.
