iPhone X, Apple’s 10th-anniversary smartphone is no more. Apple officially announced the launch of three new iPhone models for this year, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR. Usually, after launching the latest series, Apple will reduce the prices of the previous iPhone models quite significantly. But this time it didn’t happen.
The iPhone X which was released in November last year has officially been discontinued. This year Apple took a little risk by selling the iPhone X at a cheaper price. The newest series, the iPhone XR, is called a ‘frugal product’ in terms of design, appearance and camera.
In addition to the iPhone X, the production of the iPhone 6s and iPhone SE will be stopped completely. No surprise, considering that 6s and SE models are fairly ‘old’, when age becomes a factor.
The termination of the production of the iPhone SE may be most noticeable, especially because there is no substitute for this iPhone series. The first iPhone SE appeared when a small cellphone became an option to use, which made this series popular even though it’s not as sophisticated as the series we have now.
The iPhone 6s and iPhone SE also became the last iPhone with a 3.5mm jackhole, especially after Apple officially announced that it no longer produces 3.5mm adapters.
At present, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 are the smallest iPhones that can still be found on the market. Although, you can still get the 2017 models from top online shopping websites or as a used device from existing users.
