A new update on Facebook web allows you to control which post you’d want to display on your Facebook News Feed, instead of your timeline.
Initially, Facebook doesn’t give you the control over post on where it should appear, it only allows you to edit and control privacy settings. Images, post and video privacy settings and “Share with” features allows you to control everything about your content’s privacy.
Right now, Facebook web now allows you to choose if to post to timeline or news feed or both.
How To Control Where To Display Post On Facebook
When you are about to write a status, share links, images or video; you should find a check box “hide from your timeline”, check the box then publish your content. (This will publish and display on your news feed or search results without including the post on your timeline)
The introduction of this new feature on facebook web will make it very easy to filter irrelevant content you don’t want to see on your timeline in the future.
Have it in mind that this feature is only available on Facebook web and not mobile. Let’s hope it is added to the popular Facebook app.
What are your views, do you think this is irrelevant or it is. For me, I feel I need to filter so many content off my timeline. So it’s a good development.
