For the past few years, the latest Nokia smartphones have been running the Android operating system. This is a pretty good step to get more people interested in buying and using Nokia’s products again.
But recently there were reports that HMD Global, the owner of the Nokia brand has now prepared a new smartphone that actually runs the HarmonyOS operating system.
For those of you who don’t know, HarmonyOS is an operating system made by Huawei which is currently being rolled out for a number of Huawei devices. Indeed, there are plans to make this operating system able to run on other smartphones, one of which is Nokia.
It is stated that the first smartphone from Nokia that will come with the HarmonyOS operating system is the Nokia X60.
Certainly, this is one thing that makes many people surprised. The reason is that HarmonyOS itself is still not too competitive with Android and iOS but Nokia entrusts its new smartphone to run the operating system.
However, there is also a possibility that this Nokia smartphone with HarmonyOS will only be released for the China region. While for other countries, Nokia will still use Android as usual.
That said, let’s wait for the official statement from Nokia and HMD Global regarding the report. What are your thoughts about Nokia using this OS owned by Huawei, share in the comment box below?
