WhatsApp is rolling out exciting updates to boost engagement. These features aim to make chats more interactive and fun, including the ability to turn selfies into stickers, share sticker packs, and use new camera effects.

Selfie-to-Sticker Feature

WhatsApp is taking custom stickers to the next level. Users can now create stickers directly from their selfies:

  1. How It Works: Tap the “Create Stickers” button in the stickers menu.
  2. Take a Selfie: Use the new camera option to snap a selfie.
  3. Save and Share: WhatsApp converts your selfie into a sticker, which gets saved to your sticker tray for easy use.

This builds on last year’s update, which allowed users to create stickers from photos.

Shareable Sticker Packs

A new update also allows users to share links to sticker packs directly with friends, making it easier to spread your favourite stickers.

Camera Effects and Backgrounds

WhatsApp is adding more creative tools to its camera:

  • 30 New Effects: Includes backgrounds, filters, and Snapchat-like effects for photos and videos.
  • Video Call Filters: Expanding on video call filters introduced last year, these effects are now available in WhatsApp’s camera.

Quick Message Reactions

Reacting to messages just got faster! With the new update, you can instantly double-tap a message to bring up your most-used reactions.

These updates highlight WhatsApp’s focus on keeping chats engaging and creative. Ready to try out these new features? Keep your app updated to enjoy them all!
