About 8 months ago Twitter introduced a new feature on its social media site, a feature called Fleets is released to compete with the Stories feature which is now available on Instagram and Facebook.
But the appearance of Fleets itself is arguably not very successful. This is because many important features in Stories are not presented in Fleets. Moreover, many think that Fleets is not suitable to be shown on microblogging-type platforms such as Twitter.
Because of this, Twitter has recently announced that the Fleets feature will be removed from its platform. And the deletion was carried out today, August 4, 2021.

For those of you who have the Twitter application on mobile, you will realise that the Home view of Twitter now looks cleaner because there is no longer the Fleets display which is usually found at the top of the user’s timeline.
A number of Twitter users also said goodbye to Fleets although there were also those who were happy that the feature was finally removed.
“Thanks Fleets is finally gone,” wrote one user named Connor.
“I know Fleets is finally gone, really hate that useless feature,” wrote another user named Faerie King.
What do you think about the removal of this Fleets feature? Do you often use this feature when it was still on Twitter? Kindly share your thoughts in the comment box below!
