After learning that they could not continue to depend on Google‘s operating system, Huawei immediately rushed to present its own operating system, HarmonyOS.
Introduced some time ago, at this time HarmonyOS itself is still not used by Huawei in its smartphones. The plan HarmonyOS itself will be used for other devices such as smartwatches first.
But Huawei itself believes that their artificial operating system can rival Android and iOS when the development is complete later. This was also confirmed by Huawei’s VP of Consumer Cloud Services, Eric Tan.
“Huawei is now in a position to create an ecosystem that is on par with Google and Apple. We have the confidence to become one of the world’s top developer ecosystems,” said Eric Tan.
At present Huawei is focusing on developing HMS (Huawei Mobile Services) services by inviting many application developers to join and publish their applications on AppGallery.
In addition, Huawei also said that although they now have enough control of the Chinese market, they must learn more things in order to bring HarmonyOS outside of China.
Itz a pity seeing this wonderful Huawei mobile products being disfavoured by the United States..my advice for them is to start bringing their products and to establish some of their companies in Africa especially the most populated area where people with skills but without jobs can help them market their product well.
