Another classic to its design is the presence of dual camera setups at both the front and rear. Its fingerprint scanner was mounted at the rear, thus, providing ease of access to the index finger.
Under the hood, HiSilicon Kirin 659 chipset controls the smartphone’s operations. Within it, an octa-core CPU that clocks at 2.36GHz is in place. For gamers to enjoy the smartphone’s graphics, Mali-T830 GPU oversees the graphics production. A 4GB RAM makes sure the smartphone’s apps run seamlessly with little or no lagging.
In the storage compartment, 128GB is aboard which can be expanded to 256GB with the aid of a MicroSD card. Interestingly, the smartphone has variants of 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM or 64GB ROM. Android Oreo OS under the umbrella of EMUI 8.0 runs the software duties on the Huawei Y9 (2018).
