MTN 4G LTE Sim Now Available For Collection In Nigeria

MTN 4G service have been around for a while, even though we’ve not started enjoying the speed of MTN 4G LTE Sim on our smartphones. The news flying around about exchanging your old sim cards for the new MTN 4G LTE Sim cards are actually true. With the rate at which OEMs are manufacturing 4G enabled device, I believe its high time we switch to the latest, fastest and modern 4G technology for good.

MTN was quick to follow Ntel in providing 4G service in Nigeria, and as the biggest and leading mobile communication network in Nigeria, they took an expected step in following the footstep of Ntel 4G LTE service, although, it should come as a bad news to those residing outside Lagos, Abuja and PH (Portharcourt).

MTN 4G LTE service is not yet available in other Nigerian states, you will only find MTN 4G sites in Lagos, Abuja and PH. 4G network concentration is however, very strong and stable in those states.

What is LTE?

LTE (Long Term Evolution) stands for the 4th generation of telecommunications technology that delivers very high data speeds. With LTE, you can enjoy HD Video Streaming, Video and voice calls, superfast downloads, online gaming and so much more.

How do i check if my device is 4G enabled?

First, you have to make sure you are in a 4G enable area or Visit the nearest MTN store or any phone store near you to be sure the device supports Band 7 (2600mHz).

How do I check if my sim is 4G compatible and where do I get a MTN 4G LTE Sim card?

To check if your Sim card is compatible, type and send 4G to 131. After sending and your Sim isn’t compatible, you will get a response message that says…

“Yello! You need to upgrade your SIM card and device to enjoy MTN 4G LTE. Please visit the nearest MTN store or partner retailer to upgrade now.

How do I know when my device is showing a 4G network?

Once you’re connected, simply look at the network bar where you normally have H+, 3G, E or 2G, you will find the 4G signal right there.

4G network is the real deal, it allows you to download things with super speed, why not join the moving train to make your browsing experience a wonderful one! For those yet to get MTN 4G network in their states, let’s be patient with MTN, these 3 states are the focal points for business in Nigeria, so with time, they will surely provide 4G services. Let’s just hope it happens fast.
