Currently, there are many programming languages that we can use as necessitated, there are Java, C, C#, C++, Pascal, JavaScript, to Python which are currently quite widely used by programmers.
However, based on a survey conducted by software quality monitoring company Tiobe, in October 2021 Python has managed to become the most popular programming language in the world.
The survey was also conducted by collecting query data from various well-known search engines such as Google, Bing, Yahoo, YouTube, and Wikipedia. Moreover, the results show that Python is the most popular programming language for now.
It’s no surprise that Python is popular because this programming language comes with a code that is simpler and easier to understand than other languages such as Java or C. Python is a language that is suitable for learning programming.
“Python comes as a simple scripting language, as an alternative to Perl, now Python is more sophisticated. Easy to learn and has many libraries that make it the most popular programming language today,” said Tiobe CEO, Paul Jansen.
Even though it’s the most popular programming language, it doesn’t mean that Python is the best programming language. Many programmers still choose to use other programming languages because they have better support.
