Qualcomm has released its newest sophisticated chipset, the Snapdragon 865. The device that will be the processor of this high-end smartphone is equipped with 5G connectivity capabilities and presents an intuitive experience thanks to artificial intelligence (AI).
Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 is equipped with a second-generation 5G Modem-RF System, Qualcomm Snapdragon X55, when redefining Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth audio with the Qualcomm FastConnect 6800 cellular connectivity subsystem.
Snapdragon 865 enables premium devices with breakthrough features, from Gigapixel speed photography and Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite Gaming with desktop-level features to an intelligent and intuitive experience due to the 5th generation Qualcomm AI Engine.
“This year, the Snapdragon 865 will help make 5G accessible to billions of smartphone users worldwide, which further enables immersive mobile experiences such as high-speed gaming, intelligent multi-camera capture and all-day battery life,” said Alex Katouzian, Senior VP & GM Mobile Qualcomm Technologies Inc.
After introducing the Snapdragon 865 Mobile Platform in December 2019, more than 70 designs have been announced or are being developed based on that platform.
