Currently, many smartphone brands are innovating towards presenting a notch-less smartphone and also thin bezels to provide a full-screen experience when viewing content on the smartphone.
One innovation that can be considered quite successful at this time is the use of a pop-up system for the front camera. But have you ever thought of a pop-up system for speakers?
Well, Sony is known to have registered the newest Xperia smartphone patent which comes with a design and mechanism that is quite unique. This smartphone is purported to come with a pop-up and pop-down system.
Yes, the patent shows how the pop-up and pop-down system of Sony’s Xperia smartphone works. It appears that the system is more focused on hiding the speakers rather than the front camera.
With the use of the system, Sony can also present a full screen without bezel and notch but still be able to bring a front camera and front-facing speaker which of course produces better sound quality.
Unfortunately, there is no information about whether Sony will really use the concept of a smartphone like this for the newest Xperia smartphone or not. We’ll see about that guys!
