There are currently many rumours regarding the Xiaomi 12 Ultra smartphone which is predicted to be launched by Xiaomi in early 2022. A leak has just emerged that points to the flagship smartphone camera setup.
The leak reported by Xiaomiui states that in addition to the Xiaomi 12 Ultra, there will be one higher model presented, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra Enhanced Edition. Both will have the same rear camera setup.
Xiaomi 12 Ultra Camera Leak
For the main camera, the Xiaomi 12 Ultra is rumoured to use a 50MP Samsung GN5 sensor combined with three other lenses with a 48MP.
Quoted from GSMArena, it is predicted that one of these lenses will be present as an ultrawide lens, then there is a zoom lens with the ability to zoom up to 120x like in the Xiaomi 11 Ultra.
It is also stated that the Xiaomi 12 Ultra and Xiaomi 12 Ultra Enhanced Edition have the code names Thor and Loki. Both will also be equipped with a new chipset from Qualcomm, specifically Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 which was reported as the new name for Snapdragon 898.
Though it’s just a leak, it’s possible that the camera specifications contained in this new flagship smartphone from Xiaomi could still be different. So, let’s just wait for the official details from Xiaomi.
