Users can also find out information by saying, ‘real-time pneumonia epidemic’ to smartphones with Xiaomi’s default virtual assistant.

Citing Gadgets 360, the move was taken in response to a coronavirus outbreak that spread in the company’s home country, China.

Moreover, the coronavirus was reported to originate from a city called Wuhan, which interestingly, this city is also the hometown of Xiaomi’s founder, Lei Jun.

The addition of the ‘real-time pneumonia epidemic’ feature helps Xiaomi users to obtain information about the causes and prevention of coronaviruses.

Preventive measures include frequent hand washing, wearing a mask when in public places, and avoiding crowded areas.
