This month, HMD Global announced the Nokia 7.1, an Android One smartphone with PureDisplay technology. Well, the Finnish company has unveiled another smartphone called the Nokia X7.
The smartphone is also known as Nokia 7.1 Plus. The smartphone serves as the successor to the first Nokia notch smartphone – Nokia X6. Like the Nokia 7.1, this device possesses the PureDisplay technology as well as the Android One. Remember the connotation of the .1 in its name. So now, let’s dive in!
Nokia X7 (Nokia 7.1 Plus) Quick Review
At the power centre, Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset controls the Nokia X7. This chipset holds an octa-core 64-bit Kryo CPU. Two of these cores clocked at 2.2GHz while the remaining six cores run at 1.8GHz speed. An impressive Adreno 616 GPU determines the vibrant graphics on the phone.
Meanwhile, Android 8.1 Oreo OS is the software on this device. Just as the Nokia 7.1 sports the Android One, this smartphone’s also part of the Android One program.
Memory-wise, three variations have been assigned to the device. The first’s 4GB RAM plus 64GB ROM, the second’s 6GB RAM plus 64GB internal memory while the third variant features 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
Pictures are taken from the rear of the phone through a dual camera setup. A 12MP shooter with features such as the dual pixel PDAF, F/1.8 aperture and OIS is the primary shooter. The other 13MP secondary camera sports the depth sensor required for background isolation.
On the flip side, a flashy 20MP sensor takes selfies at the front. A f/2.0 aperture and 0.9µm pixel size aid the camera’s photography skills. A non-removable Li-Ion 3,500mAh battery determines the duration of the device. Nokia 7.1 Plus comes out of the box with Fast Charging technology due to the Qualcomm chipset found on it.
