Replying to OPPO posts that showcase smartphones with hidden front cameras, Xiaomi did not want to lose participating in exhibiting smartphone products made by them with similar technology.
The company also from China also uploaded a short video about their latest product on Twitter.
“Do you want a sneak peek at the future? Here you go… introducing you to Under-Display Camera technology!” thus upload Xiaomi in their official Twitter account, on Monday (03/06/2019).

Xiaomi’s post appeared just hours after OPPO uploaded on Twitter about front camera technology hidden below the smartphone screen.
Xiaomi President Lin Bin first uploaded a short video about the smartphone’s new technology on Chinese Weibo social media and then on Twitter.
The short video shows the latest Xiaomi Mi 9 smartphone with the front camera on the screen. That means the new Xiaomi version of the device no longer has a notch or bangs or a camera that appears around the OLED screen.
Like OPPO, Xiaomi also does not provide further information when the latest technology is going to be present in their upcoming products.
The Phone Talks reports, Xiaomi filed a patent that covers similar functions of the front camera, which uses two display screens that are moved alternately and allow light to enter into the camera sensor.
Earlier in March, Xiaomi has also uploaded seductive messages about a foldable touch screen smartphone. But after two months, Xiaomi has not yet realized that technology into the global smartphone market.
