Xiaomi is gearing up for a launch event on July 19th, where they plan to introduce a range of new products. One of the highly anticipated releases is the new Xiaomi Buds 5 earbuds.
In the lead-up to the event, Xiaomi has shared several promotional posters, highlighting the design of these new earbuds. These teasers have generated significant excitement and speculation among fans and tech enthusiasts.
Xiaomi’s upcoming earbuds are poised to elevate audio quality, with a strong emphasis on supporting lossless audio. Xiaomi touts these earbuds as delivering “lossless audio, natural sound,” indicating a notable enhancement compared to their predecessors.
The focus on improved audio quality suggests that Xiaomi is aiming to surpass the audio performance of previous models. This move underscores the company’s commitment to providing users with a richer and more authentic sound experience through the Buds 5 earbuds.
The Xiaomi Buds 5 are designed in a semi-in-ear style, resembling Apple’s AirPods, but with a distinctive addition of a new gold color variant. These earbuds will be available in Moonlight Black, Snow Mountain White, Frost Blue, and Titanium Gold colors, as showcased in promotional materials.
The promotional images also suggest a redesigned charging case for the Buds 5, featuring a more rounded rectangular shape compared to its predecessor. This update hints at Xiaomi’s effort to enhance both aesthetic appeal and functionality in their latest earbud offering.
Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Buds 4, launched in 2022, featured a semi-in-ear design along with IPX54 water resistance. They were equipped with active noise cancellation that could be adjusted in real-time, supporting Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification and the LHDC 5.0 transmission protocol to deliver sound quality comparable to CD-level standards.
The Xiaomi Buds 4 also incorporated a graphene-dual magnetic dynamic driver to produce rich audio and offered 360-degree spatial audio for an immersive listening experience. They included a transparency mode to enhance situational awareness. Each earbud featured microphone cutouts for clear calls, tap controls on the stem for easy interaction, and three built-in microphones equipped with noise-reduction technology.
The Xiaomi Buds 4 provided 6 hours of playback time per charge from the earbuds, with an additional 24 hours provided by the pebble-shaped charging case, totaling up to 30 hours of use. Each earbud contained a 30mAh battery, while the case had a larger capacity of 480mAh. One standout feature was the ability to connect to two devices simultaneously.
As for the Xiaomi Buds 5, specific details are still under wraps, with all specifications and pricing set to be unveiled during the upcoming launch event.
