Good news for owners of Nokia smartphone launched by HMD Global. The Finnish company plans to roll out an Android 9 Pie update on all their Nokia devices.
Although until now, there is still no information related to the time to roll out the update.
According to GSM Arena, HMD Global has just confirmed that rolling out the Android 9 Pie update is not limited to certain device segments. Nokia smartphones are expected to receive this update in the coming months including Android Go devices, namely Nokia 1 and Nokia 2.1.
While other devices include Nokia 2, Nokia 3, Nokia 3.1, Nokia 5, Nokia 5.1, Nokia 6, Nokia 6.1, Nokia 6.1 Plus, Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 8, and Nokia 8 Sirocco, as well as Nokia 7, Nokia X6 and Nokia X5 which is only marketed specifically in China.
Nokia 7 Plus is expected to be the first smartphone to receive this Android 9 Pie because it is the only smartphone made by HMD Global listed in the Developer Preview program.
Recipients of the next update are expected as Nokia 8 and Nokia 8 Sirocco.
In addition, Android Go smartphones are also expected to receive updates first, before other middle-class and affordable devices with Nokia brands.
