A number of technology companies from China intervened to fight the coronavirus. However, companies outside of China also apparently want to help fight the coronavirus.

The symptoms are flu-like, accompanied by fever, coughing, and shortness of breath. Like most diseases, 2019-nCoV is thought to spread from human to human through contact with saliva and mucus.
According to the CDC, 2019-nCoV was first detected on December 8, 2019 in Wuhan City and has expanded to other areas. In China, there are 1,300 confirmed cases from 2019-nCoV and have claimed dozens of lives.
Previously, Apple announced they would donate funds as a relief effort to Australia.
Cook did not elaborate on how Apple would contribute, although companies in the past have donated funds to local nonprofits and emergency services during similar situations.
