Clubhouse has indeed become a very popular application since it was used by a number of famous people in early 2021. In a short time, Clubhouse also successfully achieved 9.6 million downloads in February 2021.
However, after several months the application is present exclusively on iOS devices, it is reported that downloads from the audio chat application made by Alpha Exploration Co. have experienced a significant decrease.
As with the data released by Sensor Tower, it is stated that Clubhouse downloads on the App Store are now starting to decline by 66% when compared to last March which amounted to 2.7 million downloads.
“The growth of users in April seems to have started to decrease. However, the data shows that there is still strong retention among its users,” said Sensor Tower as quoted by Business Insider.
Sensor Tower said that although the number of downloads from the voice-based application began to decline, it turned out that there were still many users who saved the application on their smartphones and used it several times.
Currently, Clubhouse has begun to act by rushing to launch its application on Android. But it seems that Clubhouse has to bring something new to the app so that it doesn’t compete with other services like Twitter Spaces and others.
