November 2022 Events for PoE: Mayhem, Endless Delve, & Delirium Everywhere

Grinding Gear Games is currently running a slew of in-game events for Path of Exile this November 2022. The first event, Mayhem, has already started on November 4, but that doesn’t mean you can’t catch up to the rest of what awaits you. These events will be a selection of returning favourites that have been “improved” for players. With those adjustments, you can expect to win microtransaction prizes upon reaching certain level thresholds. Oh, and a little bird told us that players that hit level 50 in any of the ongoing events would receive one guaranteed Kalandra Mystery Box.

Besides that, all events will be available for console and PC players and have Standard, Standard Solo Self-Found, Hardcore, and Hardcore Solo Self-Found iterations. The main reason for this is that Grinding Gear Games aims to deliver some variety between every event to cater to many different types of players that farm Exalted Orbs in Path of Exile.

Mayhem

The first event to start in November 2022 is Mayhem. The Mayhem event takes the usual League modifiers from Breach, Anarchy, Harbinger, Torment, Delirium, Scourge, and Ambush and takes it to the extreme. According to Grinding Gear Games, you’ll encounter one of the following scenarios in each area:

  • 20 Rogue Exiles
  • 20 Strongboxes
  • 20 Invasion Bosses
  • 10 Breaches
  • 20 Tormented Spirits
  • 20 Harbingers
  • A Mirror of Delirium
  • Enemies with a chance to spawn Beyond Demons upon being slain close to each other

Each of the areas will have one of these mods, along with two additional mods that increase the difficulty of the monsters in the said area. Note that the mod in the area will change after every hour. If you’re the type of player that loves chaos and action while farming PoE currency, then this is for you. Mayhem will run for ten days (November 14) until the next event starts.

Endless Delve

Endless Delve starts immediately after Mayhem concludes. You probably have heard of it since it’s already an existing League mechanic (Delve). In this event, you’ll get unique starting items that are impossible to get in the actual game, and it’ll help you get through the first levels of Delve. You’ll have to travel the mine via a sulfur cart that can cast light around it to help you visualize your surroundings. Note that you won’t be able to leave the Mine Encampment.

Moreover, Endless Delve significantly changes how the event’s ladder system works. Instead of requiring players to participate in the event for its entire duration to maintain their ladder standing, the current event will implement a threshold to store the position of players who have reached a specific depth. You’ll also be granted Ascendancy Points from the labyrinth at certain levels, enabling you to power up your character if you’re struggling with the enemies while mining.

GGG stated that as long as the event is active, players can use this time to push as far as they want. With the possibility of unlocking level-gated microtransaction awards (which are random), there’s an incentive for players to get free stuff for their efforts.

Delirium Everywhere

Lastly, we have Delirium Everywhere, which starts on November 21 and lasts seven days. During this time, a dense fog will hang over Wraeclast, shrouding almost every campaign and endgame zone in a permanent Delirium. The density of the fog ranges from 10% to 100%, depending on the zone’s minimum and maximum level of Delirium scaling.

Grinding Gear Games stated that they made it this way to lower-level encounters so they won’t be impossibly difficult while maintaining the challenge that higher-level encounters give. You can expect the usual effects, such as new monsters spawning, monsters getting buffed, Simulacrum splinter drops, and reward bars being filled accordingly to your kills. The developers have also made each area have the same Delirium percentage and randomized the Delirium reward types you’ll get for each drop to avoid players’ spam-refreshing areas.

Rewards to Expect

Unlike the previous versions of the events where you had to do them in Hardcore Solo Self-Found mode to get the Demigod rewards, this time, the game will also reward them to players who participated in the other modes. The only catch is that only the top six players for each mode will be eligible. At the very least, you’re guaranteed two Mystery Boxes filled with PoE currency instead of just one if you reach level 50 in two of the events.
