Instagram adds chat or chat features through uploads in Stories, as the newest interactive way on the short video platform.
“Introducing the new chat sticker in Stories. Now, there’s an easy way to start conversations with a group of friends right from your story,” wrote @Instagram on their official Twitter account.
How to Chat in Instagram Stories
Instagram uploaded a short video on how to use the sticker chat in Stories. After uploading the video or the desired one, tap the sticker icon and look for the ‘chat’ sticker.
Users can give a title to the conversation, and the sticker will appear with the word ‘join chat’ for other users who are interested in chatting.
In the uploaded video, Instagram exemplifies sticker chat can be used to invite friends to meet and see who wants to join.
If the user sees the ‘join chat’ icon in a friend’s upload and is interested in joining, tap the icon and a request or request will appear to join the group chat.
After that, users can chat with their friends like using the direct message feature or private message.
