In a time when the digital era is increasingly being used by the public, Microsoft actually plans to turn off their flagship digital assistant application, Cortana.
In a statement, Microsoft said that it wanted to stop Cortana application services on Android and iOS-based devices in January 2020.
This software company has posted related to the loss of Cortana for users in the UK, Canada and Australia. Likewise, Microsoft mentioned a halt in the German, Mexican, Chinese, Spanish and Indian markets on January 31.
“Cortana is an integral part of our broader vision to bring the computing power of conversation and productivity to all of our platforms and devices,” a Microsoft spokesman was quoted as published by The Verge, Sunday (11/17/2019).
Cortana itself is known early in its appearance on Windows Phone 8.1 which after that penetrated the Windows 10. When we checked the release date, Cortana is only five years old.
“To make Cortana help us integrate Cortana deeper into your Microsoft 365 productivity applications and part of this evolution involves terminating support for the Cortana mobile application on Android and iOS,” Microsoft explained.
Although it has revealed plans to turn off Cortana in a number of markets, it is unclear how long this virtual assistant continues to operate on their own turf, the United States.
