Nokia 1 the budget smartphone with Android Oreo (Go edition) and 4G LTE connectivity has been officially launched. Nokia 1 with Android Oreo Go version was first revealed at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, in February 2018.
Nokia 1 runs the latest Android Oreo (Go edition), which is a version of Android Oreo for devices with 1GB RAM or less.
Google designed and optimised the operating system to utilize less storage and guarantee a smooth user experience for those who are interested in buying these budget Android phones. Android Go by default does not mean that it will be stock UI. However, HMD Global and Nokia phones have so far stuck with stock Android for their phones, and this continues with Nokia 1 as well.
Nokia 1’s has a small 4.50-inch display with 480 x 854 pixels resolution, a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3Ghz coupled with 1GB RAM and 8GB storage.
The smartphone also has a 5MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera. Nokia 1 runs Android Oreo 8.1 Go edition, and comes with 4G connectivity and dual SIM coupled with a microSD slot. The battery on the Nokia 1 is 2150 mAh (too small if you ask me, but well… a budget phone so no wahala), and this is a removable one.
