It’s almost seeming like HMD Global and Android One are synonyms with the chunk of smartphones released by the European smartphone producer of late. Nokia 2.1, Nokia 3.1, Nokia 5.1, Nokia 5.1 Plus, Nokia 6.1, Nokia 7.1, Nokia 7.1 Plus and even the Nokia 3.1 Plus all feature the Android One platform.

Nokia 3.1 Plus was announced by HMD Global as one of their latest entry-level smartphones. It’s also the older sibling of Nokia 3.1. Let’s check out what this mobile phone has to offer.

Nokia 3.1 Plus Quick Review

Starting out the phone’s design, you have a well-cut out aluminium-framed device which weighs averagely at 180g. Given its entry-level status, a notch design wouldn’t have been expected, and HMD Global did just that. They didn’t include a notch in its design. However, that didn’t hinder its bezel-less design from raking a 77.5% screen-to-body ratio that adds to its appealing expression.

Functioning as bright as a button in the power department is the MediaTek Helio P22. The chipset utilizes eight of ARM Cortex-A53 cores that clock at 2.0GHz. Also, PowerVR GE8320 GPU works out the graphics finesse displayed by this smartphone.

Speaking of content to display, an HD+ resolution is relayed by the phone’s screen to ensure viewing pleasure is optimized. Moreover, the device basks in a 6-inch touchscreen with 18:9 aspect ratio that serves as the display.

Battery life on the smartphone is interesting due to the competent 3,500mAh battery. The phone’s juice can be used to charge up other phones through the USB On-The-Go.

Android One, a modified version of the Android Oreo is the running OS of the Nokia 3.1 Plus. The Android 9.0 Pie update will be available to the device later on.

Moving on, HMD Global made two versions of this smartphone with regards to the memory. They are the 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM and 3GB RAM / 32GB internal storage variants.
