Users can now plan rides by selecting the “Search in a different city” option and entering their intended destination. This feature is especially beneficial for travelers who can reserve a pickup time at a future location. The reserve function allows users to book rides for the same day or up to 90 days in advance. Uber also offers estimated wait times and fare estimates for rides from local airports and within different cities.
The new feature is accessible in over 10,000 cities, including popular destinations like Athens, Buenos Aires, Dublin, Florence, Paris, Rio de Janeiro, Santo Domingo, Sydney, Tokyo, and Vancouver, among many others.
Uber introduced this feature along with several other offerings, including a partnership with Flying Blue, enabling members to earn miles, expanded reservations for the “Uber Bubbles” product allowing visitors in Paris to book champagne tours, and a complimentary one-hour cruise experience in Pont Marie.
