Vivo U3: Another Budget Smartphone With 5,000mAh Battery and Triple Rear Cameras

Chinese manufacturer, Vivo has announced another cool smartphone called the Vivo U3. The Vivo U3 is equipped with entertaining features such as the 5,000mAh battery, triple rear cameras, and Snapdragon 675 SoC. Its price point also makes it more attractive for budget smartphone lovers.

Vivo U3 Features (Preview)

Unsurprisingly, the dewdrop notch is one of the first things you will notice in the design of the Vivo U3. The notch is the hiding place for the 16MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. This camera has two main functions: Photography and Face Detection. For its photographic functions, a soft flash and 1080p resolution are available to smoothen things up.

Its Face Detection ability isn’t the only biometric security on the smartphone, there’s also the fingerprint scanner placed at the phone’s rear. More so, the rear features a triple camera setup comprising of 16MP wide sensor with f/1.8 aperture, 8MP ultra-wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture and 2MP macro sensor with f/2.4 aperture.

In the display section, a mammoth 6.53-inch IPS touchscreen ensures your viewing experience is top level. This display finds pleasure in its 1080 x 2340 pixels and 395 ppi pixel density. A 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a 84.4% screen-to-body ratio are also present to boost the display goodness.

Tearing the phone apart, the Snapdragon 675 SoC is positioned at the phone’s core to command sleek operations. It works with an Octa-core 2.0GHz Kryo CPU and Adreno 612 GPU for speeding up phone functions and graphics dealings respectively.

There’s a 4GB RAM attached to the device for smooth multitasking actions. A higher variant of the smartphone works with a 6GB RAM. However, both variants have the same 64GB storage that’s expandable to 256GB through MicroSD card usage.

Software actions are taken care of by the Android 9.0 Pie and Funtouch 9.0. Lastly, the phone’s powerhouse is a giant non-removable 5,000mAh battery with Fast Charge 18W.
