One of the problems that WhatsApp currently has is compression when sending photos or videos. Certainly, we can send photos via Document so as not to be exposed to compression, but of course, the method seems more stressful.
Especially now that many people want to see photos with a high resolution because there are already smartphone screens that reach 4K.
However, recently there was new information from the WABetaInfo website which stated that WhatsApp is now testing a feature that allows users to send high-quality photos.
It is mentioned that this feature will also be applied not only to photos but also videos that are currently also compressed so that the quality of videos sent to WhatsApp will not be too large.
This feature will later be present in the form of options that can be selected between Auto, Best Quality or Data Saver. For users who want to save data, the Data Saver option with compression can be used.
However, this is still present in the Beta version of WhatsApp, there is no information regarding when the feature will be presented to the global version. We are waiting for more information. What are your thoughts?
