Xiaomi officially announced the presence of Xiaomi Redmi Y2 in India, this device features a dope selfie camera and a large display. The release of this brand-new midrange smartphone is only six months ahead of its predecessor, Redmi Y1.
The time frame between when the two devices launched is so much but the specifications that the Redmi Y2 came with is significantly better than Redmi Y1. The most obvious is the larger screen size. Let’s get delve deeper to know what this device brings!
Xiaomi Redmi Y2 Quick Review!
Xiaomi Redmi Y2 has a 6-inch screen with 18:9 HD + display, (1440 x 720 pixels) and 2.5D curved glass coated. The frame is made of metal, while the rear body material is polycarbonate plastic. There is a rounded fingerprint scanner sensor in the middle of the back.
Unlike Redmi Y1 which rely on a single rear camera, Redmi Y2 equipped with dual camera modules that are arranged vertically with LED flash in between.
This dual camera setting is said to be similar to the Redmi Note 5 Pro. Each configuration is 12MP for the main camera with a pixel size of 1.25 nanometer, f / 2.2 aperture, and equipped with PDAF feature that promised to lock the focus more quickly and accurately. While the secondary camera is 5MP.
As for the selfie camera, Redmi Y2 front camera has a resolution of 16MP with an aperture of f / 2.0, which has been equipped with artificial intelligence aka artificial intelligence (AI) bokeh effect, beauty mode that is claimed to produce shots selfie more natural, and LED flash.
Speaking of the processor, Redmi Y2 is supported by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset combined with Adreno 509 graphics processor (GPU) for graphics rendering. There are two variants that are launched — 3GB of RAM + 32GB ROM, and 4GB of RAM + 64GB ROM.
As for the operating system, Redmi Y2 is already running with MIUI 9.5 interface (built on the Android 8.1 Oreo O.S). The battery capacity is 3080mAh equipped with a 5V / 2A fast charger.
