Without holding the launch event, Apple officially released a new MacBook Pro with unusual screen size, 16 inch.
In dimensions, the size of this laptop is like its predecessor, the 15 inch MacBook Pro. But thanks to the thinner bezel, the screen size is more spacious.
Still carrying the Retina Display screen, carrying a resolution of 3,072 x 1,920 pixels and a density of 226 ppi. Apple promises 500 nits of brightness and supports the DCI-P3 colour.
The 16 inch MacBook Pro no longer carries the butterfly keyboard and is replaced with a magic keyboard. Apple brings back the physical escape button next to the Touch Bar and carries a 1 mm travel key.
This laptop internal is handed over to the ninth generation Intel processor which has 6 cores to 8 cores. Combined with RAM up to 64 GB, Apple claims the 16-inch MacBook Pro is faster than its predecessor.
In the graphics sector, Apple embed a GPU 7 nm made by AMD . Available choices are Radeon Pro 5300M and 5500M, both of which come with 4 GB VRAM which can be upgraded to 8 GB.
With these provisions, Apple promises 80% faster graphics performance in video editing and 60% more speed when playing games than before.
The 16 inch MacBook Pro is the first laptop to offer an 8 TB internal storage option. While the SSD has a capacity of 512 GB.
Apple includes a 100Wh battery, this is the largest ever on a MacBook device. Provides battery power for up to 11 hours of use. There is a new chassis equipped with speakers to provide a better audio experience. Do not miss the Touch ID feature for security.
Price and availability
16 inch MacBook Pro has already been sold by Apple in its store. These devices are starting from $2,400 or around N867,000 naira in Nigeria.
