Airplane mode on Android is an offline activation protocol that’ll let you disconnect your Android device from any form of wireless connection. Once activated, you’ll be disconnected from your network carrier and once turned off, everything goes back to normal.

Using Airplane mode works and to do that, follow the simple steps highlighted below.

  • Go to your Android device Settings.
  • Click on Connections, then look for Airplane Mode or Flight Mode.
  • Click on the toggle icon to activate the Airplane Mode.
  • Once all connections have been disconnected and you can see the Airplane icon, click on the toggle again to deactivate Airplane Mode. Once done, the emergency call error will disappear and you can go back to receiving and making calls on your Android device.

Method 3: Change Network Mode

Change network mode

These days, most Android device supports different network modes and while modes like 4G and 5G offers better quality network coverage but increases battery drainage, modes like 3G and 2G can help save battery but with the poor network coverage.

At times using 4G or 5G on a device that is not supported can lead to a display of an “Emergency Calls Only” error, and to fix that. You’ll need to use the supported network mode.

  • Open Settings on your Android Device, then click on Connections.
  • Select Sim Card Manager (if you’re using a dual sim, click on the sim card with the emergency call error).
  • Once you’ve selected the sim card with the emergency call error, click on Network Mode, then change the Network Mode from its current state to another i.e from 4G to 3G and wait for it to rescan for the network signal.

Method 4: Reset Network Settings

Resetting your Android device network settings is another way to fix this error, you might have had a wrong network configuration on your Android device and resetting it might be the only solution to fix the emergency call error. To do that, follow the steps below.
