This is basically a universal method to hard reset Lumia phones of all brands, this comes in handy when you’ve been shut out either by forgetting password or patterns. This method is known to work for all Windows Lumia device.

Warning: Take note that, resetting your device will lead to lose in personal data such as apps, music, videos, pictures, documents and it also restores the default factory settings.

FOLLOW STEPS ON HOW TO HARD RESET LUMIA PHONES.

Step 1

Ensure that your Lumia device must have enough battery power to carry out the aforementioned reset method. If your phone isn’t well charged, kindly plug in charger and charge for about 20 minutes. (Skip this step if phone is fully charged)

Step 2

Turn/switch off your device, and make sure you disconnect the charger (if plugged in).

Next is to press and hold the volume down key, and then connect/plug back the charger. An exclamation mark (!) will appear on the phone’s screen.

Phone will reset as soon as you do step four(4), a double gears icon will appear and it should be rotating on the screen for up to 5 minutes, after which the screen goes blank for 30 seconds and then your phone will restart.

STEPS

1. Same as step one(1) above.
2. Same as step two(2) above.
3. Next is to press and hold the volume down key, and camera keys.
4. Now, press and hold down the power key.
5. As soon as you feel a vibration, release the power key then continue holding the volume down and camera keys until the phone reboots
6. Same as step six(6) above.
7. Congrats, your phone has been reset.
