The competition in the Nigerian smartphone market has led to one of the big players launching something we’ve anticipated for quite a while – the Infinix Note 6. Infinix Mobility announces this smartphone as the successor to the Intelligent Infinix Note 5 family. For Infinix smartphone lovers, this smartphone will definitely cement your attraction.
This phone becomes the first Infinix device to sport the AMOLED panel. It also becomes the first in the Note series to don a triple camera array at its rear.
Infinix Note 6 Features (Preview)
The attractiveness of the Infinix Note 6 stems from the metallic frame and glass that covers it all round. Its furnishing makes it pretty sleek to handle. Then, there are multiple options to select from in terms of colour – Aqua Blue, Mocha Brown and Midnight Black. The latter variant is expected to be the fan favourite.
Standing tall with a 6.01-inch diagonal, the smartphone enjoys an FHD+ AMOLED display. As such, it relays its output with 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution. Eyebrows could be raised as Infinix continues with top and bottom bezels rather than the notched design.
Interestingly, the Infinix X Pen comes out of the box with the smartphone. It confers the ability to “create immersive sketches or notes in any space within reach” thanks to AI and Augmented Reality in the mix of things.
The brain of this smartphone is none other than the MediaTek Helio P35 SoC. This 12nm chipset touches down with an octa-core processor that runs at a max speed of 2.3GHz. Gaming and graphics rendering are carried out by the PowerVR GE8320 GPU.
Conjoined to this chipset is a 4GB RAM that handles multitasking and slick running of apps. The storage of music, videos and the likes are sorted by the large 64GB internal storage. Mind you, it has an expansive capacity of 256GB via a MicroSD card.
For high intensity users, Infinix Note 6 is equipped with a durable 4,000mAh battery that lasts for several hours. Android 9.0 Pie is the chosen Android version to run the software operations here. Unlike the Note 5, it lacks the Android One platform, instead, it arrives with the XOS 5.0 Cheetah.
Photographic details are taken care of by the 16MP, 8MP and 2MP sensors at the back of the device. Illumination effects are guaranteed by the Dual-LED flash. Lastly, the selfies are beautifully captured by the 16MP front shooter.
