Clubhouse voice calling application is now very widely used by people. This application, which is still present on iOS devices, is widely used thanks to Elon Musk, who popularised it on Twitter social media.
However, after being popular, many have wondered whether this Clubhouse service is safe to use or not. The following is the explanation.
Based on a report from Wired, it was stated that the application made by Paul Davison and Rohan Seth had one problem, which is… anyone could record a conversation in a room and upload it again anywhere without being noticed.
This makes a Clubhouse user upload audio data and metadata from the application to a special website. As a result, the user was blocked by Clubhouse for violating its service policy.
But that didn’t stop there, Clubhouse itself turned out to be using a back-end service from a Chinese company called Agora. So Agora can be said to have access to user conversations.
“We have overcome our shortcomings by introducing changes, adding encryption and additional blocking to prevent Clubhouse users from pinging Chinese servers,” said a Clubhouse spokesman.
