Today’s post is basically for the newbies, for those people that are new to rooting. Am sure lots of questions have been popping into your heads concerning rooting. Why do you have to root? What does it mean to root? What are the processes it takes? Prons and cons!

Contents
1. Run Special Applications2. Run Custom ROMs3. Free Internal Storage4. IMEI Tweaking

This post should emphasize on the benefits and also disadvantages of rooting your Android device. Those annoying questions of the heart would be tackled one by one, so just pay attention.

I am going to start by tackling the most basic question that have to do with Rooting – what does it mean when one says he should/should not root his Android? Below, Let’s go…

The True Meaning of Rooting.

To root an Android phone simply means to gain administrative privileges. When you buy a new Android phone, you are just a guest user on the phone.

However, after you have rooted your phone it gives you the privilege to alter the developer’s setting of your phone. Meaning you have the ability to make all kinds of changes and install more powerful apps that you can’t use normally on a non-rooted phone.

BENEFITS OF ROOTING AN ANDROID PHONE

Here are some reviews of the major advantages of using a rooted Android phone.

1. Run Special Applications

After you have rooted your phone, you can run special applications that require root access on your phone. When compared to regular applications, root applications provide more features. Example is using Adaway to block ads on your phone, this tends to stop annoying adverts using host files on all interface. Both web, apps and lots more.

2. Run Custom ROMs

Might sound a bit strange but Custom ROMs aren’t new to rooting, root privilege allows you to be able to change ROMs. An example is trying to use Motorola interface on Samsung’s. Ability to change ROMs was also one of the main reasons I rooted my phone These custom ROMs bring many teaks and performance fixes and are much more user friendly when compared to the stock ones. They are optimized in performance and battery are updated more frequently than the stock ROMs.

3. Free Internal Storage

I have received lots of complains from Android users with low internal space. Their device usually alert them on low internal space left, uninstall some apps to free up space or so.. After rooting, the problem of low internal space could be easily fixed transferring any application from internal memory to SD card after rooting their phone.

Some applications that provide the option by default while some doesn’t. Force moving those apps without an option to move is very possible with apps like Force2sd, ROMtoolbox can also do the work just fine.

4. IMEI Tweaking

This is my favourite of all, android device imei can be easily tweaked after rooting, rooting gives you the privilege to alter, change, tweak or swap its imei. See why you should swap android imei here. For instance, if you are using a tecno device, you can change its imei to infinix or any other device imei easily using apps such as mobile uncle tool, mtk engineering mode and lots more. IMEI tweaking works only on rooted MTK device.

NOTE: As-usual this post is only for your information and i may not be responsible for any of the misuses done by you and we are not responsible by anyways.

There are more to rooting your android phone than what you’ve just read above but these are the major ones I could actually put together. There’s always a -ve side to everything in life. Now, click here to read the demerits of rooting your android device.

First, you don’t need to root your phone to change IMEI anymore. Mtk engineering mode app will perform the magic.

Secondly, for Your original IMEI number, just follow the same procedure you used in charging your IMEI. Get your stock IMEI at the back of the battery region.

      Thanks for stopping by.
