LG Q8 Surfaces with 6.2-inch Display and 64GB ROM

LG Q8 enters the LQ Q series as another device to sport the IP68 certification. The LG Q7 which was released earlier this year is the first LG Q smartphone to don the latest IP68 water and dust resistance nature.

A whole lot of cool features are found on this device; some of which are Stylus pen, 64GB internal memory, Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC and 4GB RAM. Despite these cool features, the smartphone comes with a bit expensive price tag.

LQ Q8 Quick Review!

Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC, a chipset targeted at the mid-range sector of smartphones got implemented on this device. It is accompanied with an octa-core 1.6GHz Cortex-A53 for its functionalities. Additionally, the Adreno 506 GPU found on it controls the free floe of graphics.

Fortunately, Android 8.1 Oreo OS sits in the software region of the device. A 4GB RAM backing up the chipset in the dissemination of fine performance is also available. Twice the size of LG Q7’s internal memory, that is 64GB is the size of this smartphone’s storage. It can also be expanded to 512GB through a dedicated MicroSD card slot.

For the looks, the smartphone appears sleek with its 8.4mm thickness and 172g weight. Also, the top and bottom bezels are minimal to allow room for 80.8% screen-to-body ratio. The room available for media display is a large 6.2-inch IPS glass. It has a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels and 389PPI pixel density. Added to this, the Full View display (18:9 aspect ratio) adds class to this screen estate.

Images are taken from the rear with a 16MP shooter and PDAF. Other features like LED flash, touch focus, panorama and HDR are present to improve the camera’s execution. A moderate 5MP shooter at the top bezel takes charge of selfie shots. A non-removable 3,300mAh battery acts as the duration stronghold of the device.
