Meizu 16T: An Affordable Snapdragon 855 Smartphone

Meizu 16T Preview (Features)

The Meizu 16T doesn’t follow the bandwagon of smartphones with notch cutouts, instead, it utilizes minimal bezels at its top and bottom. You’ll find the front camera, earpiece and a couple of sensors located at the top bezel. The bottom bezel lacks any occupant but a fingerprint sensor is found a little above it. This optical fingerprint sensor is found under the phone’s 6.5-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen.

This display works smoothly with a resolution of 1080 x 2232 pixels and pixel density of 382 ppi. More so, there’s an aspect ratio of 18.5:9 aspect ratio and 85.2% screen-to-body ratio. As much as 430 nits brightness also contributes to the display’s finesse.

Heading backwards, the triple camera setup is noticeable at the top left corner. The primary camera of this trio is a 12MP snapper with f/1.9 aperture. In support, there are 8MP ultra-wide and 5MP wide shooters. A LED flash is available to increase brightness in low light conditions. On the other hand, the front camera utilizes a 16MP sensor for its photographic duties.

Snapdragon 855 SoC sits comfortably at the middle of the park to dictate the smartphone’s flow of operations. The chipset works with an octa-core 2.84GHz Kryo CPU and Adreno 640 GPU. Meanwhile, a non-removable 4,500mAh battery handles the lengthy duration of the smartphone easily. It charges pretty fast thanks to the 18W mCharge.

Storage duties are handled by either a 128GB or 256GB ROM depending on the variant you purchase. You can also choose between a 6GB or 8GB RAM for multitasking roles. Lastly, the Android 9.0 Pie OS and Flyme 8 UI take care of the software experience on the device.
