There have been circulated leaked documents that mention the name of the smartphone folding screen made by Huawei. The document states that Huawei’s folding screen smartphone will be categorized as a ‘phablet’ Mate device with several alternative names.
Citing Android Headlines, there are at least four name options that will be pinned on the device, namely Mate F, Mate Flex, Mate Flexi, and Fold Mate.
If the document leaks are correct, then the choice of name might be similar to the name that Samsung will carry for its folding screen smartphone.
Previously, a leak emerged that Samsung would name the device Samsung Flex, Galaxy Flex, or Galaxy F. However, Huawei’s decision regarding the name that will be given to this folding screen smartphone will not be taken in the near future. The decision was rumoured to have to wait until early 2019.
Rumours that have circulated, claimed Huawei will use a screen size of 8 inches or the size of a tablet for this device. The folding screen will be supplied by the BOE which is also the screen manufacturer for the Huawei Mate 20 Pro.
Huawei’s folding screen smartphone is reportedly going to be powered by the Kirin 980 chipset, along with a 5G Balong 5000 modem which was also made by Huawei.
