Nokia 7.1 was announced this month by HMD Global as the latest notch smartphone in their lineup. The smartphone is part of the Android One program and is slated to receive the Android Pie update in November. The “.1” in its name refers to the Android One platform on it.

Nokia 7.1 Quick Review
An aluminium forms the bodywork for the smartphone but this aluminium is wrapped in Gorilla Glass. Also at the front, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protects this smartphone’s Pure Display HDR screen.
Speaking about the phone’s screen technology, HMD Global chief producer officer Juho Sarvikas said:
“Almost two thirds of videos around the world are viewed on mobile, which is why we’ve introduced our PureDisplay screen technology, to give everyone a premium viewing experience on a smartphone. The Nokia 7.1 even offers real-time SDR to HDR conversion, meaning you can experience HDR quality entertainment, even when your content is not.”
That said, the screen owns a size of 5.84 inches as well as 1080 x 2280 pixels resolution. Other features of its display are the 19:9 aspect ratio and HD10 compliance.
Moving on to the memory lane, the smartphone boasts of two configurations: 3GB RAM + 32GB internal memory and 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM. Whichever the version, the phone’s internal storage can be extended to 400GB with the use of a MicroSD card. The SIM 2 slot will have to be sacrificed for this to take place because the phone uses a hybrid dual SIM slot.
Can you remember the bothies feature that was touted by the Nokia 8? HMD Global also includes the feature on this smartphone. As a reminder, the bothies feature allows the user to capture images and record videos with the front and rear cameras at the same time.
Thanks to Zeiss optics, AI support and Pro Camera mode, the phone’s rear 12MP + 5MP cameras produce excellent images. The selfie 8MP AI shooter also handles photography well at its zone.
