Oppo K5 Announced with 64MP Quad Cameras and 8nm Chip

Recently, Oppo announced a new upper mid-range smartphone known as Oppo K5. The smartphone is blessed with worthwhile features such as the quad rear cameras headed by a 64MP camera, 4,000mAh battery, 8nm chipset and a host of others.

Oppo K5 Features (Preview)

Thanks to an adorable waterdrop notch, you don’t get to be shy when holding the Oppo K5. This sleek cut-out is the hiding place of the dashing 32MP front-facing camera. The camera is responsible for selfies and Facial Detection on the smartphone.

Even with a slim bezel at the smartphone’s base, the 6.4-inch display arena still boasts of 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Mind you, the Super AMOLED display works its magic through the 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution. Under the display, an optical fingerprint sensor is in place to serve touch ID protection.

Turning to the rear, the glorious arrangement of the Quad camera array will tickle your fancy. The topmost camera in this array is a 64MP sensor that employs Quad-Bayer pixel technology for image quality improvement. In support, there are the 8MP ultra-wide lens, 2MP dedicated macro lens and 2MP depth lens. In poorly lit conditions, a LED flash steps up to brighten the occasion.

Running smoothly at the heart of the phone is the Snapdragon 730G, an 8nm chipset with octa-core 2.2GHz Kryo CPU and Adreno 618 GPU. The standard model of this smartphone has a 6GB RAM attached to this chipset. A slightly better edition features an 8GB RAM for multitasking actions. For the 6GB RAM model, a 128GB storage accompanies the device. Meanwhile, the 8GB RAM model has two storage options of 128GB and 256GB.

Segueing, Android 9.0 Pie OS sorts out all the software operations. Interesting enough, this smartphone has a planned OS upgrade to Android 10. Wrapping up, a non-removable 4,000mAh battery ensures that you worry less about duration issues. It’s noteworthy that the battery can charge from 0% to 67% in 30 minutes due to the Fast Charge 30W.
