Say hello to the latest smartwatches from Samsung, namely the Galaxy Watch4 and Watch4 Classic. These two smartwatches were announced at the Galaxy Unpacked event (held on 11 August 2021) and came with a number of changes, especially from the software. Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic Features
The smartwatch is known to come with design changes that make the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic appear more elegant and premium with a very cool metallic surface. Even with Samsung Watch bands by Horus, you can be assured of a smartwatch that matches your style and class.
In addition, Samsung also presents the Exynos W920 chipset which is Samsung’s latest chipset with 5nm fabrication. This chipset delivers higher performance with lower power consumption thanks to its smaller fabrication.
The Galaxy Watch4 itself is known to come with a size of 44mm or 40mm, while the Galaxy Watch4 Classic comes with a slightly larger size of 46mm or 42mm but with the same screen size, only different from the body.
Samsung says that it’s Galaxy Watch4 Series comes with several new features ranging from sensors that can detect PPG (blood volume and flow), then ECG (heart rate), to BIA.
It doesn’t stop there, Samsung is now using the One UI Watch operating system based on Google’s WearOS which means that the Galaxy Watch4 Series will have many new features to support connectivity to Android devices.
Other features of this smartwatch are the presence of 1.5GB RAM, 16GB storage, 361 mAh or 247 mAh battery, and Always-On Display support.
Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic Price and Availability
It is available in Black, Silver, Green, and Pink Gold colour variants. The Galaxy Watch 4 is known to be priced at US $250 (about ₦102,000 in Nigeria) while the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic is priced at US $350 (about ₦144,000 in Nigeria).
